We stayed at Mackworth House Farm Villa and had a wonderful experience. the top floor was like a self-contained flat, with a large and comfortable bedroom, a small lounge with Sky TV, and a little kitchen. the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and they prepared a fabulous breakfast for us. the farmhouse itself is beautiful and located in a tranquil area while still being close to the city centre. a delightful place to stay. We recently stayed at Mackworth House Farm for a weekend getaway and couldn't have been happier. From the moment we arrived, the warm and friendly hosts made us feel right at home. The room was beautifully decorated and cozy, with a comfy bed and pillows for a good night's sleep. The views of the garden were stunning, and we enjoyed our breakfast served in the room by Mark, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The attention to detail was outstanding, from the lovely pattern in the butter to the extensive supply of teas and coffees provided. The bathroom was spacious and stocked with quality toiletries, and the soft towels were a nice touch. The hotel's location in the picturesque hamlet added to the charm, and the peaceful rural setting made for a relaxing stay. We even had the chance to meet the friendly dogs and see the chickens, which was a delightful experience. The internet access was excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the historic house was inviting and full of character. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend Mackworth House Farm to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable stay.

The value for money at Mackworth House Farm was unbeatable - a gorgeous room, impeccably clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Despite being just ten minutes away from the city centre, the hotel is surrounded by beautiful scenery. The staff were some of the friendliest people I've ever met and made me feel warmly welcomed throughout my stay.
The breakfast menu could have been improved with a wider variety of options.

We had a romantic escape and the room was spacious and comfortable, which made our stay pleasant. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. The location was peaceful and had beautiful scenery, perfect for a romantic getaway.
We were disappointed to find that there was no bar on the premises, which meant we had to go to a pub nearby for a drink. there was no provision for slippers in the room, which would have been nice to have.

The location of the hotel is ideal, especially for those visiting the nearby National Trust property. Guests have praised the owners for their warm welcome and friendly demeanor. The rooms are tastefully decorated with period furniture and provide a comfortable stay. The bathroom facilities are well stocked and include a shower mat, ensuring a pleasant and hassle-free experience. Additionally, the breakfast offered is excellent, with options for a full English meal. The attention to detail, such as providing fresh milk in the room for tea and coffee, adds to the overall satisfaction of guests.
Some guests have mentioned the difficulty of navigating the stairs with luggage and a stick. A fixed banister on the left side could improve accessibility, instead of relying on a rope or limited support.

I had an amazing stay at a cozy farmhouse in Derby. The suite was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was super comfy and I had a great night's sleep. The hosts, Peter and Marc, were fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They even brought me a fresh pot of coffee every morning. The location was convenient, a short bus ride from the town center, and the staff treated me like a valued guest. I felt right at home and would definitely stay here again.
The only thing that could have made the morning meal even better was if there were more options for breakfast.

We were pleasantly surprised by the lovely 17th-century building that housed Mackworth House Farm. The rooms were large and comfortable, and we especially enjoyed the beautiful staircase, although we had to be cautious with the rope handrail. The modern bathroom, complete with robes and luxurious toiletries, added to our delightful stay. The option to get our hair or nails done at the onsite salon was a nice touch. The friendly hosts provided a delicious breakfast and the nearby pub was just a short walk away. we highly recommend this charming country retreat.

I had a wonderful six-day stay at Mackworth House Farm. I was there to send my daughter off to study and the landlord, Peter, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The cozy foldable bed and free room for my daughter were incredibly thoughtful gestures. The location, surrounded by quiet lanes and farms, was peaceful, and we enjoyed picking fresh fruits from the back yard. The house was well-managed, clean, and beautifully maintained.
